Art: Superdeux's "Auto + USBoombox" - This Little Guy is Awesome

Thursday, October 29, 2009  at 10:51 AM

Now honestly, I was never one for little toys or figurines when I was growing up.

Cars, Hot Wheels, model Lamborghinis...yes, other than my Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Pizza Shooter(that thing rocked)you would not find me trying to defend my fort with G.I Joe blowing little plastic figurines to smithereens. But hey, that's me, all people are different....but these little guys are on a whole new level. Meet 'Auto + USBoombox' from design studio Superdeux. A description posted by

Tech: The New Motorola Droid for Verizon

Wednesday, October 28, 2009  at 5:01 PM
Ok, ok....so on this post I just featured cnet's video review of the new Motorola Droid for Verizon, but who better to do it than the pro's themselves.  I surely don't have one in my hands yet and I'm pretty sure if I requested to get one to do a review it would be politely rejected while thinking, "Who is this guy?".  Give me some time, I'm trying to get there but I'm sure a lot of us are.  So I will pass the buck and leave it to the pros(for now...hehe).  Here is the brand spankin' new review for the Motorola Droid running Android 2.0.  Enjoy!

Nixon Headphopnes? - Yes, Nixon Headphones.

  at 1:04 PM

I have always been a fan of Nixon Watches.

I remember when they started coming out with their different design styles with the "thick" wristbands and they always seem to have a clean, cool, stylish feel. Well if you didn't know (I was unaware as well) Nixon also makes headphones. Personally, I have not been able to demo or sample a pair but coming from Nixon you know they are going to have that designer edge to them. In November(according to their website)they are going to be releasing a new line the "Trooper" and "Whip". I have featured here the Trooper line in this post. Now, I don't know if I'd be sporting these randomly as they definitely

New Video from Chris Brown ft. Lil Wayne and Swizz Beatz, " I Can Transform Ya".  Sick audio visuals and on point choreography for your enjoyment. Not to sure about the ninja concept but I'd definitely take the bike and the Bugatti they flash for a split second.  New music is always a good thing.  Click "Read more" to see the video.

Need a New Lamp for the Pad? - Flat Lighting by DMO

  at 1:35 AM

Spunky, designer, original, and unique.

DMO is a Korea based design group that came up with the idea of this iconic lamp.  The lamp itself is two dimensional and has LED lights embedded "under" the lamp shade.  The lamp itself just slightly leans against the wall and is definitely a space saver.  Stylish and cool, this addition would definitely change up the style of your humble abode.  DMO is based in Seoul, Korea.

Monday, October 26, 2009  at 3:29 AM

So Halloween is soon approaching, the thought might have crossed your mind, "What am I going to be this year?".  Well these guys definitely thought ahead on this one.  Check out the iPhone costume.  Each costume is connected directly to their own iPhone and is displayed directly on the costume's screen. You won't find this in any store, this was completely fabricated and designed by these two gentlemen.  All music, video, games, and even phone call output is live and displayed directly on the screen, the only thing that is missing is the touchscreen but I'm sure this was enough work in itself.  Get ready for that costume party.     So what are you going to be???   Click "Read more" to see the video.

Transparent Sculpture of Lexus LFA - Amazing

Saturday, October 24, 2009  at 4:19 PM
Absolute amazing sculpture of the Lexus LFA. I didn't think it was actually life size when I came across it but low and behold it is.

"This amazing transparent sculpture of the new $375,000 Lexus LFA supercar is absolutely mind-blowing! The full-size sculpture, which was constructed by Japanese architect Scu Fujimoto, was first displayed at Milan Design Week earlier this year.

Music: Stumbling Upon Random Hotness - Kaskade "The Grand"

Thursday, October 22, 2009  at 2:46 PM

Discovering and stumbling upon new music is not half bad.

Kaskade's release of "The Grand" came out earlier this year around March.....but for me, It's brand new(The complete album).  I recently was skipping through some tracks online as I usually do and came across the full fledged mix.  There are some singles I am familiar with and have already heard (Kaskade with Tamra – Angel On My Shoulder (EDX’s Belo Horizonte at Night Remix) & Kaskade &

Music Video: Jay Sean - Down

Saturday, October 17, 2009  at 2:26 PM

Music video for the song that has been everywhere recently, Down by Jay Sean ft. Lil Wayne.  Many times a song that is being looped on the radio every 40 minutes I'll take a pass on, but lucky for me I don't listen to the airwaves all that often anymore.  Therefore I have been enjoying the vibe of this track.

Jay Sean is and R&B artist from the UK who released this US hit single back on May 31, 2009 and has been slowly but surely climbing the charts on the Billboard charts.  He officially hit #1 on  Oct. 7, 2009. To see video click "read more".

The Up and Coming CR-Z Hybrid From Honda

Friday, October 16, 2009  at 9:43 PM

In general I am really drawn to concept cars, but who isn't? They are the cutting edge of what engineers and designers are creating right from the drawing board. One to look forward to and has had a buzz this year is the CR-Z hybrid from Honda.

The reincarnation of the CR-X which was and still is a compact mod racer favorite from the 80's and early 90's, the new CR-Z concept is nearly production

Update: Videos on Dell's New Latitude Z

Wednesday, October 14, 2009  at 3:16 AM

I posted a few days ago on the new Dell Latitude Z.  You can read about it here.  I recently found some promo and informative videos online doing the new Z justice.  The features on this machine are optimal for business, travel, and portability in style.  Basically, the laptop is one of the best and most innovative laptops I've seen around in the 16 inch platform.  Now I wish I just had an excuse to travel the world, conduct business on a plane, be put up in a hotel half way across the world, and have my secratary hold my phone calls.  Thats pretty much the only way you would be able to afford this and have a practical use for it.  Never the less, I still want one.

"It's Raining Outside...Better Grab the Umbrella" - Umbrellas of Steel....sorta

Tuesday, October 13, 2009  at 6:47 PM
Picture of raindrops on window with person holding umbrella out of focus
Now this subject is a little off topic but I guess I'll just file this one under life.  I knew I put that up there for a reason.

Here on the coast of Central California we are literally getting dumped on rain wise as I type.  Now it does rain here often but we have had a good long stretch without water droplets hitting our heads throughout the whole summer.  Central Cali is not like So Cal.  Well I was welcomed this morning with a storm brewing off the coast heading straight for my backyard.  I knew I had to get some work taken care of and study for an up and coming exam so I dressed accordingly and brought trusty ol' Mr. Umbrella.  Well, as I was getting in the groove at the library every single

HP to release Envy 15 Beats Limited Edition BY Dr. Dre

Monday, October 12, 2009  at 10:48 PM
New Envy 15 Beats Special Edition By Dre laptop
I recently read on MTV.com that Dr. Dre is releasing a special edition laptop for music lovers, so I took a spin over to HP's website to see what I could find out.

The laptop is a special edition of HP's new laptop Envy 15.  The Envy 15 was announced earlier in September and has been reviewed by other sources as a clone to the MacBook Pro With performance and style in mind starting at $1800.

Dre's concept and idea is to create a laptop for music lovers that plays music the way it was meant to be heard.  The promo video (posted below) also goes into depth about how producers and recording engineers spend countless hours on perfecting a track for any type of platform.  Most of us are shortchanged when it comes to default laptop speakers as many others features take priority.  The Envy

"Is That an Ace Up Your Sleeve?" - A Top Pick for the Wardrobe....Vegas Style

Thursday, October 8, 2009  at 5:24 AM
Candid pic of Aces, four of a kind
Vegas.  It definitely has been a while since I paraded the streets in Las Vegas. Whether it was late nights with the entourage cruising (maybe stumbling) along The Strip, casino hopping trying to find a blackjack table that was hot, or getting geared up for that laser light hypnotic club scene it has always been memorable.  Well it's about that time for me again so I was thinking "Hmmm, it's been so long, how am I gonna get prepared for this most fantastic event?".

Vegas is always an event with stories to share whether they were good or bad.  Well, as I was thinking about the basic necessities in my head, out of the blue a particular shirt that I saw maybe four or five months ago popped in my head. Yes, strange

Tiesto Switches Gears with New Album Release Kaleidoscope

Wednesday, October 7, 2009  at 1:26 AM
Album cover Tiesto Kaleidoscope
Let me just start off by saying I absolutely loved ISOS7 (In Search of Sunrise 7 Asia) and have been awaiting the release of Tiesto's Kaleidoscope.  Tracks on ISOS7 (and albums before) have made me continue to respect him as an artist.  Tiesto has been a master of mood, textures, and transitions in the past bringing listeners through a journey from one track to the next.  Now I may be partial because I myself have dabbled in the production of electronic music and have experienced what it takes to create a track.  Some people just hear a repetitive beat with quarky electronic sounds and question,"How people can listen to it in their car?", and others are captivated by it.  But in being true to the spirit of music, this album is not hot.

Toyota's FT-86 Concept car to Premiere at Tokyo Auto Show

Tuesday, October 6, 2009  at 2:30 AM

With all the focus on the Toyota Prius and Green tech, I almost forgot that Toyota made any type of sport vehicle. The Celica is gone and the Supra went before that and the Prius has definitely been in the limelight.

Well on October 21st at the Tokyo Auto Show they will display the FT-86 Concept Car. The FT in the car's name stands for Future Toyota and is reminiscent of Toyota's AE86 sport coupe of the 80's. It will be a compact rear wheel drive sports coupe trying to resurrect the performance side of Toyota which has fell to the wayside. The final branding of the vehicle has not been determined but production models will be seen next year and sales are expected as early as 2011. Here are some of Toyota's press released shots. Man It would be

A Laptop for the Elite - The Dell Latitude Z

Monday, October 5, 2009  at 12:03 AM

The new Dell Latitude Z is sexy to say the least.

This business class laptop is the sleekest and slimmest to date. Its not packed with power or performance but its not meant for hours of network game play of WOW at your your buddies house.  No, this here is more like a sport luxury vehicle with class and style.  Think of it like driving a Lambo to go pick up some milk and tp from down the street.  You might not be racing at 120 mph pushing it to the limit but whatever your doing, you're going to look good doing it.

It's has a 16" (1600x900) HD LCD screen and weighs in at 4.5 lbs. and just over a 1/2 an inch thin.  Yes thats thin, not thick as Dell puts it.  Sharp lines and tapered with portability in mind, this laptop is a head turner for sure.  Dell has

Video of the Week - Deadmau5 ft. Kaskade - I Remember

Sunday, October 4, 2009  at 1:48 PM

This is going to be a weekly spotlight for a music video.  Anything that sparks a little beat in my head when I'm not thinking about it.  This is a track that I recently discovered that is from earlier this year.  I came across this on Youtube and thought it had a pretty snazzy feel to it so here it is.

One reason to try Linux, The Awesome Customization

Saturday, October 3, 2009  at 8:25 PM

There are always the ups and downs as with any OS.  I still use Windows (currently the Windows 7 RC1) and am familiar with Mac OSX (PowerBook that I have used for music production) as well and think each has its purpose, but anyone that tells you that their OS of choice is the best because its flawless and they don't have problems is just flat out lying.  Windows blue screens, Macs little twirling beach ball while its thinking, all can make you want to pull out your hair.

Now I must confess before I even start to comment on this subject, I'm not some total expert command line guru who can hack the gibson, but in the time that I started using Linux (about a lil over a year ago) I have been totally in love.

Best Gallery of wallpapers all in one Spot - DesktopNexus

Friday, October 2, 2009  at 1:22 PM

Of course you can find amazing stuff at Deviant Art and another one of my favorites is Interfacelift but recently came across this little gem. I found myself at one point browsing wallpapers all the way to the 52nd page of a gallery.  Sheesh! Anyway, there are an amazing amount of HQ / HD wallpapers, some which you have probably seen before but it seems they were able to get everything in one place. When downloading the site will attempt to optimize or even crop the wallpaper depending on your screen resolution, which can be a good thing or a bad thing.  Another thing that is notable and convenient is while in thumbnail galleries, a quick rollover will let you know the original wallpaper resolution which can be helpful.

Again, Beware.  If you like browsing for
the perfect desktop wallpaper for that
particular look you might be here for a while.

Happy Hunting.

Here are some that I have frequented recently:
